Me vs. I
How can I identify when to use “I” vs. when to use “me” in my writing?
Using Me:
Me is an object pronoun. It refers to the person the action is being done to.
Example: Please allow Robert and me a one-day extension on the project.
Quick Tip: Think about what happens if you remove the other person from the sentence:
Please allow me a one-day extension on the project. Does it still make sense? If yes, then you chose the correct pronoun.
Using I:
I is a subject pronoun. It refers to the person performing the action.
Example: I will create and share the PowerPoint this afternoon.
